People eating and drinking in a Vista-Dome buffet and lounge car of the Kansas City/American Royal Zephyrs. A mix a white men and women. A woman is entering the car from a doorway to the Vista-Dome observation deck and a man is entering from a doorway below which leads to the rest of the train.

Pictured here is the buffet where daytime and evening snacks - also breakfast, are served. Here also is the entrance to the Vista-Dome which provides passengers with the newest thrill in railroading. To the right of the stairway is the passage to the rest of the car. These new trains operated by the Burlington start in service Sunday, February 1 between Chicago, Kansas City and St. Joseph on new faster schedules.
