The white women sit to the left and the African American women sit to the right with a stack of quilts in the center of the room. Most women sit on ladder back chairs. The four windows to the left are floor to ceiling. There is a man's portrait above the door at the back. There is a dark shiny curtain hanging across the back wall. The ceiling is pressed tin.
