Details
Ted Malone, farthest to the right, drinks from an expresso cup he has lifted from a saucer with a teaspoon lying next to it, as he sits at a table with an unidentified white man and woman on either side of an NBC microphone during what is likely a broadcast of a book review. The woman is pouring from a silver coffee pot into her espresso cup as she looks at Ted. The book lying on the center of the table is, "The A. Edward Newton Collection of Books and Manuscripts; to be sold at auction by the Parke-Bernet Galleries, Inc. 30 East 57th Street, New York. Part One - A--D ; April 16, 17, 18, 1941."
