Details
In a photograph likely taken by Jacob Loose, Ella Loose stands at the base of the Wilhem Tell Monument looking at the camera as she supports a bicycle standing beside her. Another bicycle leans against the pedestal of the monument. Other people walk about the base of the monument. The Monument Tell in Altdorf, Switzerland, depicts Wilhelm [William] Tell with his crossbow over his shoulder and his other arm around the shoulders of his son as they walk together. His son looks up to Wilhelm as Wilhelm looks out. Stamped on the front of the rock they walk on are the Swiss Cross, a head of a bovine, and the year, 1307." Below that is engraved, "Wilhelm Tell. 1895."
