Panorama of the village Grasmere in the Lake District of England. From the perspective of a hill overlooking Lake Grasmere, the village of Grasmere can be seen across the lake between the lake and a mountain range in the background. In the foreground is an unpaved road with a rock wall lining the road between the road and the lake. Running along the top of the rock wall is a railing-type fence. There is a line of trees between the lake and the road. An island is in the middle of the lake and the photograph. Printed below the lower left-hand corner of the photograph in the margin, "Herbert Bell, Ambleside." Printed on the center margin below the photograph, "Grasmere." Printed on the bottom left-hand corner of the margin, "Printed in Switzerland."
