She holds a dark folded parasol, tip down to the floor, in her right hand and a light colored expanded fan, held low, in her left hand. She stands on a fur rug with a painted backdrop of an outdoor scene behind her. Below the photograph is printed, "J.A. Hacker, Tipton, Kans."
