Details
Ava Gardner, that long-limbed and lovely lass from the South who is getting her best acting opportunity to date in Mark Hellinger's production of "The Killers" at Universal Studio, is a gal with a problem. Only 21, she hasn't made up her mind whether a home and home life are more important than her career - or vice versa. Currently separated from band leader Artie Shaw, her second husband (Mickey Rooney was her first), she and Shaw found that her working hours from early morning to evening and his night-time orchestra hours were just not conducive to domestic happiness. Ava co-stars with Edmond O'Brien and screen find Burt Lancaster in "The Killers" (from photo caption).
