Details
Anne Shelley waving at the camera from behind a banner for Phoenix Book's that she, and two other unidentified white women are holding at the 1992 pride parade in Kansas City. At the time, Anne Shelley was manager of Phoenix Books, a women’s and alternative bookstore, located then at 317 Westport Road in Midtown. Two white women are carrying a sign with a large pink triangle and women's symbols reading in part "KC GALA" standing for Kansas City Gay and Lesbian Awareness, the group sponsoring the march. A bus stop is seen in the background.
