Doctors (white, men) and nurses (white, women) performing surgery in an operating room at the Children's Mercy Hospital building at 1710 Independence Avenue Building. There is a utility room, an autoclave in the background, and cans of ether on a small table against the wall. Three doctors are standing at one end of the operating table looking down. Two women are sitting and standing nearby. Another woman is standing in the middle of the room and another is standing in the back room.
