About these Collections

UMKC Libraries' Digital Projects provides access to digitized and born-digital content held in LaBudde Special Collections, University Archives and Marr Sound Archives. In our digital collections, we have content by and about people of many races, ethnicities, national origins, beliefs, sexualities, genders, and disabilities. Historically, many people have been subject to bias, discrimination, and violence. While that history is reflected in some of our collections, we are making appropriate changes to the type of language we use to describe this content, on an ongoing basis.

John E. Lynn worked for the Kansas City offices of the Chicago, Burlington, and Qunicy Railroad for over 40 years. He was an avid collector of railroad memorabilia, and the photos in his collection depict a wide variety of railroad engines, passenger and freight cars, and other structures supporting train travel. Most date from the 20th century.
