Details
In a view from the port to the city, the Galata Bridge is crowded with people walking across it. The Galata tower stands tall above the entire city in the background. Rowboats are on the water on the left side of the bridge. A ship sits on the right side of the photograph with at least three gangway planks filled with people as they walk across from the ship to the bridge. Horses hitched to carriages wait in the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph. Printed in handwritten white ink along the bottom of the photograph, "N. 45. Pont de Galata. Sebah & Joaillier."
