The Monument Tell in Altdorf, Switzerland, depicts Wilhelm [William] Tell with his crossbow over his shoulder and his other arm around the shoulders of his son as they walk together. His son looks up to Wilhelm as Wilhelm looks out. Engraved into the sculpture on either side of the rocks Wilhelm and his son walk on, "Erzaehlen Wird Man Von Dem Schüz̄en Tell. So Lang Die Berge, Stehn Auf Ihrem Grunde." Stamped on the front of the rock they walk on are the Swiss Cross, a head of a bovine, and the year, 1307. Printed in white ink along the bottom of the photograph, "Edition Photoglob. 2792. Altdorf. Monument Tell."
