Two women and four children dressed in their traditional clothing of Bethlehem, stand on a stoop of a rock staircase running beside a rock building to their right. The girl in the front is barefooted. Printed in white ink below the photograph, "Women and Children of Bethlehem, 363, Femme et Enfants de Bethlehem." Printed in white ink script in the bottom, left-hand corner of the photograph, "American Colony, Jerusalem."
