Details
A group of geishas sit on the floor each behind a dark box called a hakohibachi, a brazier encased in a wooden box, with an insignia on the front. They do not smile. A long cloth lays on the floor in front of them. On the other side of the cloth are flowering plants in pots. The wooden doors with paper windows are closed behind the plants. The wall behind the geishas are sliding doors with louvered coverings. Three electric lamps hang from the ceiling above the center of the room.
