Details
The pulpit of Church of St. Andrew in Antwerp, Belgium, is an elaborately sculpted pulpit with a support column as its base. It's a complete sculpture that can be viewed from all sides. It tells the story of how Jesus Christ asked fisherman Andrew to leave his nets behind and become an apostle at the floor level. Angels place a cross and drapery on the second level, with trees branches behind them. Printed in white ink in the margin below the photograph, "No 36 Anvers. — La Chaire à l'Égl. St. André G.H."
