The Trocadéro Palace in the center of the photograph, is based on Moorish architecture, and is in Paris, France. In front of the palace are a rectangular pool and a half-circle pond connected by a stair-step water fall and outlined by fountains. The half-circle pond matches the curve of the palaces exterior. A statue of a rhinoceros is on the right side of the pool. A statue of a elephant is on the left side of the pool. Printed in white ink on the bottom right-hand corner, "96, PARIS _ Trocadéro."
