Details
Panorama of the Place de la Concorde, viewed across the Champs-Élysées from the Chamber of Deputies. As people walk on the sidewalks on either side of the bridge across the Champs-Élysées, horse-drawn wagons heavily laden with goods cross the bridge on the road. A sign at the end of the bridge reads, "Chêne Préhistorique." Barges line the far wall of the Champs-Élysées. Streetlamps, placed on the wall ledges between the sidewalk and river, line each side of the bridge. The plaza, with an obelisk in the center, is in front of two identical buildings of Neoclassical architecture. Printed in white ink along the bottom of the photograph, "40 PARIS. Panorama de la Place de la Concorde. Vue prise de la Chambre des Députés. X. Phot."
