Bedroom of Napoleon I in the Palace of Fontainebleau in Fontainebleau, France. A parquet floor leads to a sculpted and gilded bed with a floor to ceiling canopy flanked on each corner by columns with pedestals representing the figures of nobility, glory, abundance and justice. The doors and paneled wainscoting are ornately gilded with emblems of victories. An ornate desk sits in the corner to the right of the bed. On the farthest right in the photograph a chair and footstool sits on either side of a fireplace with a carved, marble mantel an arched mirror from the mantel to the ceiling. Printed in white ink along the bottom of the photograph, "267. Palais de Fontainebleau. - Chambre à coucher de Napoléon 1er. X. Phot."
