Details
An Etching of Traitors Gate and St. Thomas Tower of the Tower of London in London, England [illustration]. A round tower on the far left of the photograph has one arched, paned window in it. A cobblestone street leads between that tower on the left and a low, arched gate (Traitors Gate) on the right side of the photograph that is under a second story of rooms with many paned windows. In the left center of the photograph is a square tower with a parapet on top and arrowslits down the center. Behind this tower, a staircase leads up to the second story. A walkway covers the roadway between the square tower and the round tower. The illustration is signed in the lower left-hand corner of the illustration, but it is illegible. Below the photograph of the Etching in the lower left-hand corner in dark ink, "Mansell Hunt Catty & Co Lo." Printed in dark ink on the bottom center below the photograph of the Etching, "Traitor Gate & St Thomas Tower."
