A steamer carries a load of people around the embankment of River Thames in London, England. Cleopatra's Needle is in the center left with a few people using the steps down to the water from the needle. The Waterloo Bridge is crossing the river on the center right of the photograph. The building of the city are in the background of the photograph. Printed in white ink along the bottom center of the photograph, "Thames Embankment, London. 5706. J.V."
