Details
A boy that is only a head taller than the wooden gate, leans his forearms on the top of the gate into the meadows around Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England, and looks at the camera. Other people stand along the path leading across the meadow. On the left side of the photograph, a boy stands on a footbridge that crosses a marsh and pond. Other children stand between the path and the edge of the pond. On the other side of the meadow is a wood-rail fence and then a rock wall. A covered wagon sits just inside the fence. Across the top of the photograph, beyond the wall, above the meadow, houses and trees stands Windsor Castle on a hill. Printed in white ink across the bottom of the photograph, "Windsor Castle from the Meadows. 3384. J.V."
