Details
Friar's Crag, an outcrop into Derwentwater (lake) in the Lake District of England is in the foreground of the photograph with a mountain range all across the back of the photograph. Barns with cattle in the barnyard and a house are across the lake at the foot of the mountains. A person is seated in a bent-vine chair, back to the camera facing the lake, in a grove of trees on top of the crag. Another person is standing in the grove of trees beside the chair, facing the person in the chair. A skiff boat is on the lake at the bottom of the crag. Printed in white ink on the bottom right-hand corner, "111. Friar's Crag. Derwentwater. A.P." Embossed on the bottom right-hand corner, "Pettitt's Series. -o- Keswick."
