A view of the harbor in Clovelly, England includes sailing boats and row boats lined up by the shore and the rock sea wall. Sitting on the seawall on the left center of the photograph is a person with a canvas on an easel under a dark umbrella. Behind the painter and up another rock wall is the Red Lion Hotel. Several men sit or stand on the top of the wall outside of the hotel. In the center of the photograph a cobblestone lane turns up toward the upper left-hand corner of the photograph. Several homes are on either side of the lane that climbs up the forested mountainside. Printed in white ink on the bottom left-hand corner, "24773."
