Details
Two unidentified men guide three pack donkeys by walking away from the camera up the terraced and cobblestoned High Street in Clovelly, England. A woman, that is partially blurred, is walking away from the camera ahead of the men and donkeys. The windows are open on the hotels and homes on either side of the street. The buildings on the right side of the photograph have patios and decks. A mountain looms over the buildings and street across the back center of the photograph. A business sign above a door on the right side of the street reads, "Jewell's Tea & Coffee, Rooms." The business signs on the patios going up the right side of the photograph read, "Good Beds. Views of the Neighbourhood. New Inn. And Boarding Establishment, Refreshment Roof." Printed in white ink along the bottom left of the photograph, "High Street, Clovelly. 6589, J, V."
