Details
Melrose Abbey from the south in Melrose, Scotland. Sheep graze under fruit trees whose trunks are surrounded by wire fencing in the foreground of the photograph. Between the sheep and trees and the abbey is a vegetable garden surrounded by a low-wall. Then a high rock wall between the garden and the abbey. Behind the abbey rise hills of farmland divided into geometric shapes by fence lines. The abbey in the center of the photograph is Gothic architecture. A few obelisks are visible above the rock wall.
