Details
A man stands holding a gate that crosses the road halfway open as two-wheeled cart waits to pass through the gate at Buttermere Lake and environs in the Lake District, England. A tall rock wall lines the road before the gate and changes to a wooden fence beyond the gate. On the right side of the photograph is Buttermere Lake. The lake is completely surrounded by mountains. Between the road and the lake and a forest. Printed in white ink on the bottom right-center, "322. B. Buttemere A.P." Embossed on the lower right-hand corner, "Pettitt S Series -o- Keswick."
