Details
Outdoor view of the Old England Hotel from Lake Windermere in Bowness-on-Windermere, England. Rowing boats line the two docks that extend out from the shore. Small buildings that look like houses, with signs hung on each, stand in a row at the shore. A rock wall is behind the small buildings. A view of a bit of the town is above the small buildings on the left side of the photograph. The hotel extends from the center of the photograph to nearly the left hand side with many rooflines and gables. A sign hangs under the fourth story windows of the section on the left that reads, "OLD ENGLAND HOTEL." This section of the hotel is covered in ivy. Printed in white in on the bottom right-hand corner, "622. Old England Hotel. Windermere. A.P." Embossed on the bottom right-hand corner, "Pettitt's Series of Keswick."
