Details
Kandyan chiefs stand outdoors in two rows in tradition clothing and daggers for chiefs at that time, with the British Governor of Ceylon, Henry Arthur Blake, in the center of the front row in 1905 in Kandy, Sri Lanka [then Ceylon]. Blake has a sword in his belt and a pocket watch attached to his vest by a chain. There is a chair to the left of Blake. All of the chiefs have some form of facial hair. Printed in white in in the bottom left-hand corner, "Scowen & Co."
