Panorama of a tea estate in Sri Lanka [then Ceylon], shows a white man wearing a pith helmet standing outside a large, two-story house with surrounding gardens while the hills completely surrounding the house are planted in tea bushes. A forest runs along the top of the hill on the left side of the photograph. A grove of palm trees is in the bottom left quadrant of the photograph. Large boulders and a few stumps are scattered throughout the tea bushes. One large grouping of boulders is on the hill behind the house. A two-story bird house on a tall post is right of the house.
