Details
Two unidentified Vedda men wearing traditional clothing sit with axes, bows and arrows in Sri Lanka [then Ceylon]. One man sits on what appears to be a rock with straw on top of it. The other man sits on the ground. A bush stands behind the men. Printed in black ink in the bottom left-hand corner, "Scowen." Printed in white ink on the bottom left-hand corner, "Charles T. Scowen and Co. Ceylon." The words Charles T. Scowen and is mostly faded. Printed in white ink below the two seated men, "Veddahs."
