Details
Two unidentified Sri Lankan men are in front of a roof supported by poles with two large statues of iconography (Hindu God Murugan and peacock) that each stand on its own pallet in Sri Lanka [then Ceylon]. One man sits on the pallet that the a statue of God Murugan stands upon. One man stands between the two pallets and places his hand on the neck of God Murugan's peacock. A cobra snake rises up below the peacock. Printed in white below the seated man, "Hindu God. No. 226." Another roof supported by poles is on the upper right-hand side of the photograph.
