Details
A boy holding a cannister in one hand stands on the bank between a trail and a pond in the city park in Budapest, Hungary. In the pond, two men are facing each other on either end of a skiff from which the man in the stern is paddling. A footbridge over the water on the left side of the photograph leads to Széchényi Island. The island is forested and has a walking trail that goes through trellises to an lookout over the pond. A lower trail by the water leads to a rock tunnel under the trellis garden. Printed in the margin on the below left of the photograph, "4656. Budapest. Széchényi-Insel." Printed in the margin on the below right of the photograph, "Verlag von Stengel & Markert, Dresden."
