Postcard photo of the inscription on the back. Message reads, "Dear Sister Ma has been here since last Fri. She says if you will line a box with news p and wrap every potato in a paper [stren] a layer of paper between they will keep. Harrison says he will take $500 cash, Son has some steps and I fear it will be too cold to put them in now. I want mine fixed next spring. Mr. Paxton kept the deed. There are 8 steps and son says he want to grade the yard before they are put in. Mr. M. says the water runs under the house. We are all fairly well. Your sister." Address reads, "Mrs. Effie B. Chinn, Glasgow, Mo. Lock. Box 333." The 1 cent stamp box has KRUXO printed around the edges with a clover leaf in each corner. Printed up the left side, "Published by the North American Post Card Co. Kansas City, U.S.A." Postmark is mostly illegible but possibly says, "Independence. Nov 19"
