Front: A studio portrait of two unidentified African American women in nurse uniforms which consist of full-length, long-sleeved dresses, full-length aprons, a fez-shaped hat, a belt holster with tools of the trade inserted and button-up shoes. Back: Writing on the back of a postcard with a studio portrait of two unidentified African American women in nurse uniforms on the other side. The handwritten correspondence, "Dear Betty Jean. This is the uniform we wore in 1900's Since you cherish antique photos-you must have this for your collection. Imagine you in hi button shoes & the long dress to the floor--!! You've come a long way Betty. If I find any more pictures, I'll send them. Love your pen pal. W.P." The address, "Nurse -- Betty Jean Kirtley, c/o Waldo Antiques, 225 West 75th St., Kansas City Mo."
