Large stretches of open land are visible behind the pier. Image 7: Aerial image of two stretches of open land forming a portion of the Port of Monrovia. Two edges of land have been shaped into perfect straight edges for piers and roads as part of the port. Image 10-12: Various aerial images of a bridge crossing the mouth of the Mesurado River as it empties into the ocean. The bridge is built on concrete pillars and has a road for driving.
