Spencer Barefield, jazz guitarist, looks seriously at a piece of music from his music stand that he holds in his hands, as he sits in a barista bar, Columbine's Champagne Cellar at the Harlequin Café, 8047 Agnes, Detroit, Michigan (8045 Agnes), next to Claude "Fiddler" Williams, preparing to perform. Claude has his fiddle under his chin and his bow raised ready to play. The date, "4 13 '01," is imprinted by the camera on the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph.
