Details
Spontaneous Combustion, a bluegrass-rock group comprised of four white men from Kansas City, Missouri, who sit and stand playing their instruments, in front of a brick wall with drapes over it. A yellow flame is coming out of the end of the fiddler's bow, the pocket of the mandolin players, the headstock of the banjo and double bass, and about the feet of the mandolin player. The flames are the only color in the black and white photograph. A fire extinguisher sits on the floor by a banjo. The double bass endpin sits in a tennis shoe. Printed in the margin below the photograph, "Spontaneous Combustion. Bookings: Marvin (816) 444-2594, Leo (816) 531-1845. Correspondence: 3637 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, Mo. 64111."
