Fernest Arceneaux and the Thunders, a zydeco, Cajun music band of five African American men and one white man, perform on the stage of the Grand Emporium in Kansas City, Missouri. Fernest plays an accordion. The next band member plays a fiddle. The next band member plays electric guitar. Behind the band is the drummer. Another band member is mostly out of the photograph on the left and likely plays electric bass. Printed on a label attached to an attachment to the back of the photograph in the margin below the photograph, "FERNEST ARCENEAUX & THE THUNDERS April '87."
