Details
A photograph of a statue of Caspar, one of the Three Kings created in Lichtenthal, Baden, Germany stands wearing a crown tunic, tights, boots, and holding a cape. In his left hand, he is holding out a cup and holding up his right hand to bless the cup. It was on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Cloisters in New York in December 1953.

H. 62 1/2 in. Provenance: Convent of Lichtenthal, Baden, Germany Purchase, Cloister Fund, 1952. Stamped on the back, "THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART. This photograph is the property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and is lent for publication in newspapers and magazines only.
